Growing plants in space is really necessary for long-term human stay outside of Earth. Sending food from Earth to Mars is expensive, time-consuming, and limited. That\u2019s why making local and independent farming systems like hydroponics has become very important. <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Farming on Mars<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"755\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"713\">Living Conditions of Mars and Farming Challenges<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"716\" \/><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong data-start=\"716\" data-end=\"755\">Climate and Soil Conditions of Mars<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"757\" data-end=\"1092\">Mars is a cold, dry, and harsh planet. The average temperature is around -60\u00b0C, and in polar nights, it can go below -120\u00b0C. Its atmosphere is very thin and mostly made of carbon dioxide (more than 95%) and only about 0.13% oxygen.
